What we ask of our volunteers:

  • Maintain your Louisville Audubon Society membership, or become a member at a monthly or annual $ contribution that works for you
  • Be responsive to email from our Education and Outreach Committee Chair and/or other committee members
  • Be proactive about finding new opportunities to support our mission with your skills, including by communicating regularly with our Education and Outreach Committee Chair and/or other committee members
  • Be willing to learn about and stay up to date on our mission and our initiatives and programs, such as Lights Out Louisville
  • Have existing knowledge about birds, or be willing to learn about them (for example: calls/songs; field marks; habitats; behaviors; etc.) to support our community education programming (events, field trips)
  • Be willing to support our in-person events (for example, when we staff a table at a local festival or lead bird walks/field trips)
