2026 scholarship applications for Hog Island Audubon Camp are open!

​Primary eligibility:
  • a resident of Kentucky who has demonstrated curiosity and/or passion about birds/ornithology, birdwatching, and environmental and/or nature studies.
  • The recipient will be expected to give a presentation about their experience to the nearest KAC chapter during a fall 2026 meeting (month is flexible and dependent on chapter's meeting schedule) or at the fall KAC meeting (time and date TBD).
Amount of award: $1,525.00
  • This covers the total cost of a shared double or triple room for the camp listed above, and all fees, lodging, meals, instruction, and in-camp boat trips.
  • This does not include transportation to/from camp session; however, the local chapter nearest the recipient may provide help with transportation cost. 

2026 Hog Island Audubon Camp scholarship info

Each year, the Kentucky Audubon Council (KAC)—which comprises Louisville Audubon Society and other Kentucky Audubon chapters—sponsors a scholarship to Audubon’s Hog Island Camp.

In 2026, KAC is sponsoring a scholarship for the camp program "Sharing Nature: An Educator’s Week," which runs Aug. 9-14, 2026. Learn more about the program here.
