Our mission: to conserve and restore natural ecosystems—focusing on birds as well as other wildlife and their habitats—for the benefit of humanity and the Earth’s biological diversity.

For more than 100 years, National Audubon Society has helped people to enjoy, appreciate, and protect the natural world.

Today, amid a host of environmental threats, its mission has evolved. Fortunately, there are many new and exciting ways to get involved. Together, we can shape a healthier tomorrow—for birds and other wildlife, and the environment we share with them.

Louisville Audubon Society works to protect birds—not only because they are beautiful and awe-inspiring, but because they are a crucial link in the chain of life. Louisville Audubon works with other local partners to create and conserve habitat, educate the public about all the benefits birds bring to our lives, and to increase awareness of the perils that birds face in an increasingly human-dominated world.
Louisville Audubon Society is the Louisville-area chapter of the National Audubon Society and a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
